  19.     Unpack this file in the directory where you plan to perform your
  20. recipe conversions.  Probably the same directory your recipe database
  21. is.  The files in this package should be:

  35. **    0.975 has some small fixes to the MealMaster and CompuChef
  36. ** parsing to support some of the "non-standard" things that can happen
  37. ** to these files on the net.  This version also introduces a FULL
  38. ** automatic conversion from the supported recipe styles (including
  39. ** OTHER) to MealMaster format by using MM on the command line.  
  40. ** Conversion of recipes from the supported styles to QuikBook format
  41. ** is also still available.
  42. **    The accuracy of the MealMaster conversion depends on the
  43. ** initial format.  Some of the more Free-form formats (QB and OT)
  44. ** show about a 98% accuracy.  Others (such as CompuChef) are much
  45. ** closer to a 99.99% accuracy.  What this means is that you probably
  46. ** want to review the Mealmast file in your favorite editor before
  47. ** actually performing the import.
  48. **    What was most interesting (to me) was the tendancy for MealMaster
  49. ** export files to get grunged up in transmission.  So, I no longer
  50. ** just parse them out, but also do some formatting/cleaning up even
  51. ** if a conversion isn't called for.
  52. **    The reason I've gone ahead with a 0.975 release rather than the
  53. ** 0.98 I planned is that our first child is due this next week, and
  54. ** based on the volumes on the NET, it seemed like getting a MealMaster
  55. ** conversion out now, and letting the CompuChef conversion slide a bit
  56. ** was a better idea than holding off the release for another two weeks.
  57. **    A 0.98 release which adds CompuChef conversion is still planned, and
  58. ** will be followed up by a 0.99 release that covers conversions to 
  59. ** Vittles and Stevens formats.  MRS I understand is not a publically
  60. ** available system, and a conversion to Other seems rather pointless :-)
  61. **    Based on this schedule, 1.00 will probably be out around Christmas.
  62. ** This means the Windows version will be out sometime in mid-January.
  63. ** Will be open for other ideas after that.  As always, I'm interested
  64. ** in hearing any ideas you might have for this program.
